Status

Android

Fully working with standard configuration.

iOS

Fully working with additional configuration. However, the app completely bypasses the Opendium filtering.

Windows, Mac OS X, Kindle and Nook

Not tested.

Configuration

Android

Ensure that the Essential Services Override is enabled. Note: we recommend that this override is always enabled (this is the default).

iOS

  • Allow the Qustodio firewall bundle on the Egress page.
  • Ensure that the Essential Services Override is enabled. Note: we recommend that this override is always enabled (this is the default).

This will also allow other VPN software to bypass the Opendium filtering.

Detail

Android

The Qustodio parental control app does not utilise the device's trusted certificate store and therefore HTTPS decryption must be disabled for certain traffic. The required configuration is a standard part of the Essential Services web proxy override.

iOS

The iOS version of Qustodio uses a VPN to send all internet traffic is sent via the Qustodio servers and therefore bypasses the Opendium filtering and monitoring. Allowing this traffic is therefore not recommended.
